• Convert an SGI image to a PNM file:

sgitopnm {{path/to/input.sgi}} > {{path/to/output.pnm}}

• Display information about the SGI file:

sgitopnm -verbose {{path/to/input.sgi}} > {{path/to/output.pnm}}

• Extract channel n of the SGI file:

sgitopnm -channel {{n}} {{path/to/input.sgi}} > {{path/to/output.pnm}}
